> Canadian railways will use LNG as fuel
18-June-2013

Canadian National Railway will use LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) as fuel for trains from the end of 2013. The Canadian company Westport Innovations will convert four existing diesel  locomotives into LNG locomotives. The storage tank will be installed on one railway carriage.  The train can use LNG as fuel as well as Liquefied Bio Gas (bio-LNG). The action radius of liquefied gas is longer than in case compressed gas is used.
